OPEN ROOM PRACTICE - MYSORE STYLE ASHTANGA
(all levels, beginners welcome)

Mysore ashtanga is the traditional method of studying ashtanga yogasana. Mysore ashtanga is taught in a quiet room through individual instruction from a skilled teacher. The practice is taught gradually and according to each person’s needs and abilities.

Come observe or take a class during designated hours (see above) and speak to Bibi about initiating practice.*

OPEN LEVEL VINYASA

This class is geared to students who have some experience of yoga and feel confident practicing with minimal cues. Inspired by the practice of ashtanga yoga, the class incorporates sun salutations, standing and seated postures, inversions, breathing and closing relaxation. Each class opens with a short inspirational reading or 'dharma' talk and ends with a guided meditation.

LED ASHTANGA

Unlike the traditional mysore-style, students practice the entire primary series in a synchronized fashion under the instruction of a teacher. This approach provides an opportunity to hone your practice by following the “vinyasa count” as it is traditionally taught. This emphasis on efficient, rhythmic movement helps to do away with habits and with unconscious fidgeting between postures.*​

MOMMY & BABY YOGA

Join Bibi in her home Shala for a unique time spent on the mat with your baby. Bibi offers a holistic approach to reestablishing yourself in movement after birth, through aware breathing and asana practice, while strengthening the bond between you and your baby. You can expect a balance of challenging postures and calming restorative time in a playful and safe environment for both you and your baby. Learn how to aid digestion, promote better sleeping patterns, and be internally strong as your infant grows. Dads are welcome too! All levels.

Bibi is authentic, humble and bespoke in her approach, meeting each of her students at their personal level and with a gentle, considered hands-on approach. Through her own personal discipline, dedication, and devotion to the practice, she is an ever-present source of focus & inspiration to her students. Practice with her provides you with a ready-made and secure environment to practice discipline on a daily basis.
